Jos to Host NPFL Super 6 Ahead of New Season

Jos is set to become the centre of Nigerian club football as the 2026 NPFL Super 6 Pre-Season Championship brings six teams together ahead of the new league campaign.

The week-long tournament will begin on August 18 and run through August 23 at the New Jos Stadium, giving Nigeria’s top clubs an important opportunity to prepare for the demanding season ahead.

Four Continental Clubs Lead the Line-Up

The tournament will feature the four Nigerian clubs representing the country in the 2026/27 CAF inter-club competitions.

Rangers International of Enugu and Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while Shooting Stars of Ibadan and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.

They will be joined by hosts Plateau United and Mighty Jets, completing the six-team line-up.
