FALCONETS THRASH NEW CALEDONIA 10-1 TO REACH U-20 WORLD CUP ROUND OF 16
Nigeria’s Falconets produced one of their biggest performances at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on Sunday, hammering New Caledonia 10-1 in their final Group F match in Poland.
The emphatic victory secured Nigeria’s place in the Round of 16 after a difficult start to the tournament. The Falconets had lost 2-0 to Spain before playing out a goalless draw against China.
Ramotalahi Kareem and Winner Onajite David were among the standout performers, with both players scoring hat-tricks as Nigeria finally found their attacking rhythm.
The victory saw the Falconets finish second in Group F and set up a Round of 16 meeting with England.
