DOMA UNITED MAKE HISTORY-TALKING START AS AYENI TARGETS STRONG NPFL CAMPAIGN
Newly promoted Doma United have emerged as one of the early talking points of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season after winning all three of their opening matches without conceding a goal.
The Savannah Tigers defeated Enyimba 2-0 in their latest match to move to nine points from three games and maintain a perfect defensive record.
Coach Deji Ayeni has urged his players and supporters to remain focused, stressing that it is still too early to talk about winning the league.
Ayeni, who previously coached Enyimba, said Doma United’s immediate objective is to make a strong impression in the NPFL and compete well throughout the campaign.
The newly promoted side’s perfect start has nevertheless placed them at the top of the early league standings and made them one of the teams attracting attention in the opening weeks of the new season.
